Hi all, newbie (to the forum) here.
I'm curious about what you folks think about - and carry about - when it comes to first aid kits.
I'd like to hear what you stock in both "booboo" kits and "blowout" kits.
To elaborate, a booboo kit would be something you'd buy or put together designed to handle the more minor scrapes and scratches of everyday life.
A blowout kit would (hopefully) keep your heart beating until the EMTs got their hands on you.
To provide a little background: I am NOT a medical professional. I receive first aid and CPR training regularly, and have been for decades. That being said, my hands-on experience is VERY limited.
But.
I belong to two sportsman's clubs. Both have rifle and pistol ranges. And the on-site first aid kits are off-the-shelf, inexpensive plastic boxes stuffed with adhesive bandages, antibiotic ointment, and first aid tape. Because of that, I've begun carrying a sort of trauma bag with me every time I go shooting. I've fortunately never had to treat anything beyond minor cuts and burns, but I know that worse things happen and I'd like to be as ready as I can be, within reason, for those worse things.
So. What do you keep in the house? Do you take anything with you in your POV? Do you have any "won't leave the house withouts"? I'll be detailing my choices if there's any interest in the topic.
